“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
Established in 1886, The Converse Home was founded by a group of citizens concerned about the care and well-being of elderly women living alone in their community. From the very beginning and to this day we have been governed by a board of community volunteers.
Our current Board of Directors is a talented group of people with backgrounds that include the business sector, healthcare, law, finance and elder advocacy. They meet every other month to provide general oversight and to ensure the Home remains financially viable and true to its mission.
These volunteers include: Tom Heinrich, President; Jody Landon, Vice President; Connie Fellion, Treasurer; Judy Crouse, Secretary; Estelle Deane; Bonnie Finnigan; Keller McKenzie; Mary Ellen Spencer; Marga Sproul, M.D.
We are grateful for their dedication to the Home and its residents!
