Registered Nurse (RN)
Are you a compassionate and dedicated RN looking for a rewarding career? We are currently looking for a full-time nurse to join our team Monday through Friday, day shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care with compassion and professionalism.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to care plans.
  • Monitor residents’ health status and report changes to the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate and support residents and their families.

Qualifications:

We are currently looking for  FT and PT RCAs to work in both our traditional and memory care communities:

Key Responsibilities:

Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.

  • Provide compassionate and respectful care to residents while maintaining their dignity and independence.
  • Monitor and document residents’ health and well-being, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
  • Help maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other team members.
  • Follow all community policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a caregiving or healthcare role preferred.
  • Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Maintenance Technician
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Rotating On-Call | Burlington, VT

Are you a dependable, adaptable person who enjoys hands-on work in a team-oriented, mission-driven environment? The Converse Home, a non-profit assisted living community located in downtown Burlington, is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to help us keep our home safe, comfortable, and well-maintained for our residents.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform light maintenance tasks and minor home repairs as assigned by the Maintenance Director.
  • Assist with painting, refurbishing vacated apartments, and maintaining common areas.
  • Help with seasonal grounds care including mowing, raking, and snow removal.
  • Support flooring and basic facility upkeep.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation (one week per month, paid).

What We’re Looking For:

  • Someone who is compassionate, patient, and enjoys working with seniors.
  • A team player who’s flexible and ready to adapt to changing priorities.
  • General maintenance experience is preferred, but we’re willing to train the right candidate.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and be on your feet for most of the day.

We’re currently looking for compassionate and friendly individuals to join our dining team as Servers. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work with the same residents each day, build meaningful connections, and make mealtimes a highlight of their day.

Position Details:

  • Schedule: Breakfast Day shifts, 7-11 am Tuesday and Thursday, Lunch shifts 11-2 pm and our dinner shift, 3:30–7:00 PM, Monday and Wednesday.  
  • Serve meals in a professional, caring manner to residents and guests.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen service areas.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to provide an excellent dining experience.

We are currently hiring for a Community Life Director to oversee the programming for our Traditional Assisted Living and Memory Care Communities. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising a team of Community Life Coordinators and Assistants
  • Work with volunteers and student interns
  • Ensuring programming to include resident’s spiritual, emotional, creative, cognitive, and physical needs. 
  • Work with staff and volunteers to implement activities and special events 
  • Be a part of a leadership team with the goal of approaching all aspects of resident life through a holistic approach.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation, or equivalent experience working with memory-impaired elders is required.

We are currently seeking an  Accounting Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and a passion for accuracy in accounting to support our mission of providing a warm, caring home for older adults. This is a part-time position, 20-24 hours per week. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Submit bi-weekly payroll to PayData and review payroll reports to prepare journal entries.
  • Process Medicaid billing and monthly submissions to long-term care insurance companies.
  • Prepare and issue accounts payable checks for signature.
  • Maintain resident petty cash activity.
  • Document and reconcile rent checks, donations, and other payments in compliance with auditor. recommendations.
  • Ensure resident financial records and administrative records are accurate for all accounts and prepare other monthly accrual entries.
  • Generate monthly resident billing and perform receivables functions, including deposits.
  • Submit and track employee/employer pension contributions each month.
  • Ensure all financial records are maintained in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years prior experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with payroll processing and Medicaid billing preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A team-oriented attitude and a desire to support the mission of our community.
