The Converse Home has a long history, over 125 years, of providing a warm, caring home for our residents and a great work environment for our staff.

As a Resident Care Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the health, comfort, and well-being of our residents. As a Community Life Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in enriching the daily lives of our residents through thoughtful programming that supports their emotional, physical, spiritual, and social well-being. Working closely with the Community Life Director, you’ll design and lead engaging group and individual activities, help coordinate special events, and build meaningful relationships with residents and their families.

What You’ll Do:

  • Help create and post a monthly calendar of programs and events for residents.
  • Plan and lead large and small group activities that bring joy and purpose to residents’ days.
  • Get to know residents personally — learning their stories, interests, and preferences to design activities that are truly meaningful.
  • Collaborate with all departments to plan and host community-wide events.
  • Maintain organized, welcoming activity spaces and ensure needed supplies are ready for use.
  • Document resident participation and engagement to help track the success of programs.
  • Incorporate the Best Friends™ Approach to support residents living with memory loss through empathy, respect, and companionship.
