The Converse Home is a non-profit Assisted Living Residence in Burlington that has operated continuously since 1886. We offer stable, long term employment with benefits, and we have a variety of career options. We are looking to augment our staff during the COVID-19 pandemic, and folks who work well on our team will be welcome to stay long after. Below is what we are looking for, along with minimum starting salary. Salaries, however, are adjusted based on experience, so the more you have, the higher the starting salary will be.
Nurse Charge of Shift – Day and Evening
We are looking for an RN or LPN to run an 8-hour shift, leading a team of four to six resident care assistants. Minimum starting for an RN is $27.00/hour and for LPN $24.00/hour. Day shift is 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Evening shift is 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and includes a $1/hour pay differential.
Night Charge of Shift
The night charge of shift leads an overnight crew of three resident care assistants. Minimum starting for an RN is $29.50/hour, for an LPN $26.50/hour, and an LNA is $19.50/hour.
Resident Care Assistants
The backbone of our care team is our amazing resident care assistants. These folks help residents with a wide variety of activities for daily living. Minimum starting for an LNA is $17.00/hour and $15.00/hour without an LNA. There is a $1/hour differential for evening shifts and a $2.50/hour differential for night shifts. There is a $1.00/hour differential for weekend day shifts.
Dining Room Team Leader
Converse Home provides outstanding food to residents prepared by three NECI trained chefs. The Dining Room Team Leader manages the dining room and leads servers in meal delivery. Minimum starting salary is $16.00/hour and more for dining rock stars. $1/hour weekend differential.
Dining Room Server
If you have waitstaff experience, think how much more enjoyable it would be if you had the same customers every day so that you would know exactly what they wanted and could provide a truly outstanding level of service. Minimum starting salary is $14.00/hour. $1/hour weekend differential.
Converse Home puts out some great food for an ‘institutional’ setting. Our line cooks have the freedom to add their own personal flair to crafting dishes that appeal to our residents. Line cook starts at $19.00/hour, with a $1/hour weekend differential.
Community Life Team Member
Our rockin’ Community Life team helps residents with their social needs. This runs the gambit from running bingo to leading discussions on current events and watching The Crown. Most of our Community Life teams members are musicians, as well, but that is not a requirement (our residents do love music and the arts)! Our Community Life Team Members start at $16.00/hour, and there is a $1/hour weekend differential.
You will never find a cleaner long term care facility thanks to our stellar housekeepers. You’ll be on the team that keeps common areas gorgeous and resident rooms tidy. Minimum starting salary is $14.00/hour. $1/hour weekend differential. $2.50/hour overnight differential.
Converse Home is supported by Symquest for our complicated networking, security, licensing, etc., issues. We’re looking for someone that could help with Office 365 and Google account creation and management, setting up smart devices (phones, tablets, Alexa, and Google Home devices), troubleshooting basic issues before sending off to Symquest, helping employees and residents with scary technology, etc. Minimum starting salary is $22.00/hour. Negotiable with full or part time.
