As a Resident Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. You will assist with daily living activities, provide companionship, and ensure that our residents receive the highest level of care and respect. Nursing Department

RN/LPN

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN)
Are you a compassionate and dedicated LPN or RN looking for a rewarding career? Join our team at The Converse Home, where your skills and passion will make a meaningful impact in the lives of our residents every day. We are currently looking for a full-time nurse to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care with compassion and professionalism.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to care plans.
  • Monitor residents’ health status and report changes to the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate and support residents and their families.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Current LPN or RN license in the state of Vermont.
  • Experience in assisted living, long-term care, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A team-oriented mindset with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

RCA

We are currently looking for  FT and PT RCAs to work in both our traditional and memory care communities:

Key Responsibilities:

Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.

  • Provide compassionate and respectful care to residents while maintaining their dignity and independence.
  • Monitor and document residents’ health and well-being, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
  • Help maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other team members.
  • Follow all community policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a caregiving or healthcare role preferred.
  • Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and caring demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to pass a background check

Maintenance Team

Housekeeper

Are you looking for a rewarding housekeeping position in a community-focused environment? Join our team at The Converse Home. We are known for our warm, welcoming, and home-like atmosphere.  As a Full-Time Housekeeper, you will play an essential role in creating a comfortable and healthy living space for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Cleaning: Perform routine cleaning tasks in resident apartments, common areas, and facility spaces, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Trash Removal: Collect and dispose of trash and recycling from resident apartments and common areas daily.
  • Restroom Cleaning: Clean and disinfect restrooms, ensuring they are well-stocked with supplies.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Follow proper cleaning protocols and safety guidelines to minimize the spread of germs and maintain a safe environment for residents and staff.
  • Resident Interaction: Provide excellent customer service to residents by respecting their privacy and accommodating their preferences when possible.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other housekeeping and maintenance staff to address facility needs and report any concerns, such as maintenance issues or safety hazards.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous housekeeping or custodial experience is preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to follow instructions and prioritize tasks efficiently. 
  • Physical Requirements:   Ability to stand, bend, lift (up to 30 pounds), and perform repetitive movements for extended periods. 
  • Personality Traits: Friendly, respectful and empathetic towards residents and staff.

  • Other Requirements:
     Must pass a background check.
